Käsespätzle are also known as Kässpatzen, Chäschnöpfli or Käsknöpfle and are a popular dish, especially in Swabia, the Allgäu and Austria. The pasta with egg is layered with cheese and baked.

Of course, cheese spaetzle tastes best when made from homemade spaetzle. If you want to make it quicker, you can use ready-made spaetzle from the refrigerated shelf or dried spaetzle. Once the spaetzle is fully cooked, just a few steps are enough to serve delicious cheese spaetzle. With our tips you will be really good.

  • Heat fat in a pan.
  • Cut the onions into fine rings and mix with the flour.
  • Shake off excess flour, add the onion rings to the hot fat and fry until golden.
  • Then lift the rings out of the fat and let them drain on a cloth.
