Christmas donut tart recipe

Christmas donut tart

THE Christmas sweets there are so many, but if you are not a fan of traditional ones and are looking for a modern dessert to prepare, you will love this recipe! The Christmas donut tart is a truly original and delicious idea, which will bring joy and joy to your table! The base is made with a classic vanilla-flavoured shortcrust pastry, but with a very simple trick the tart will transform into a beautiful donut, which is also much more practical to cut! The cream, always flavored with vanilla, is a diplomatic cream made with a little starch and with the addition of gelatine, to obtain a creamy, but at the same time firm, consistency. These tufts, together with the berries and the star-shaped biscuits will be the perfect decoration for your Christmas donut tart!

If you don’t have a ring you can use a cocotte suitable for cooking in the oven.

It is advisable to fill the tart 2-3 hours before and store it in the refrigerator: this way the pastry will not soften too much.

If you are unable to work the pastry well in the bowl, transfer it to a work surface. Don’t knead the pastry too much, but just enough time to compact it well.
