Crepe and its calories
Everything about the favorite chocolate biscuit crepe or merenda crepe and all crepes and their calories. It all starts with a successful crepe mix.
What are kids crazy about? But of course for crepes! And even for sweet crepes. The favorite combination is a… chocolate crepe with a cookie without neglecting the calories. Even adults can’t resist this combination. But grown-ups have a reason to think twice before devouring an entire chocolate crepe. This reason is none other than calories. For a chocolate crepe, the calories may be too many for someone who wants to control their weight.
Crepes calories
It’s kind of hard to give an answer when it comes to calories. Everyone can make the crepe mixture differently, as well as their size. The filling in the crepes is not the same as you can put whatever your appetite craves.
In order to have an idea of how many calories we consume, we need to make a calculation that includes the calories from the crepe mixture as well as from its filling. If we have a ready-made commercial product for the mixture, the calories are listed on the package, otherwise we have to add up the calories of the materials we used. The same goes for the filling.
But how many are for sweet crepes?
The most common sweet crepe is with chocolate or merenda combined with a biscuit or some fruit.
Crepe chocolate biscuit calories: 300
Chocolate crepe calories: 270
Crepe with merenda calories: 390
The calories for the crepes above are indicative and we have explained the reasons.
Crepes are mainly eaten as a snack or as a dessert. Therefore, someone who is in the process of reducing their weight is not the most ideal choice to consume. What is certain is that it takes about 40 to 45 minutes of aerobic exercise to burn its calories.
Suggestions for sweet crepes
A crepe mixture goes wonderfully with a sweet filling. We can imagine many sweet treats to put in our crepe and enjoy it. But get an idea:
- Chocolate with your favorite sliced fruits (eg banana, wild berries, strawberries, kiwi).
- Your favorite jam with fruit pieces and icing sugar for sprinkling.
- Peanut butter with nuts e.g. almonds, walnuts.
- Honey with apple or pear and cinnamon.
- Honey with nuts.
- Seasonal fruits with strained yogurt and honey.
- Homemade merenda with biscuit.
The options for a sweet crepe are countless. But, let’s not make the calories from what we add count. Children can fearlessly consume calories, not of course on a daily basis, but the older ones, because they too have the right to sweet pleasure, can make crepes with fewer calories than the classic one with chocolate.
