This recipe for jaboticaba sauce in a blender adds extra flavor to your grilled fish and makes any lunch even more special. A light option that brings health benefits, the dish includes jabuticaba, a fruit that helps control blood pressure, helps balance sodium in the body, and is rich in fiber and vitamins. Ingredients

  • 300 g of jabuticaba
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or cane syrup or honey
  • 1/2 lemon (zest)
  • 2 white fish fillets (tilapia or hake, for example)
  • Fresh thyme to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Jabuticaba sauce
    1. Place the jabuticabas to cook in the water.
    2. After it starts to boil, count 5 minutes and turn off the heat.
    3. Blend in a blender and sift.
    4. Sauté the garlic with the thyme.
    5. Add the jabuticaba broth and add salt and pepper.
    6. Add the sugarcane molasses and let it reduce.
    7. Turn off the heat and add the lemon zest.
  2. Fish
    1. Season the fish with salt and ground pepper.
    2. Grill in olive oil or butter (1 teaspoon is enough for grilling).
    3. Serve with jabuticaba sauce.
