1 One kilo of meat
2 Three bowls of rice
3 Salt to taste
4 Three tablespoons of crushed ginger and garlic
5 Onions three medium and four small
6 Three medium sized tomatoes
7 Four medium potatoes
8 Crushed Red Chilli One Tablespoon
9 One tablespoon of white cumin
10 Ground Coriander 1 tbsp
11 Turmeric one teaspoon
12 Proven hot spices one tablespoon
13 Ground hot spices one teaspoon
14 A bowl of curd
15 A bunch of green coriander
16 Half a teaspoon of yolk color
17 Kewra essence one teaspoon
18 Half a cup of fresh cream
19 A number of lemons
20 Two tablespoons of butter
21 Cooking oil as per requirement
Step by Step Instructions – Preparation recipe
- 1Put the washed and dried meat in a vessel and add salt, red pepper, turmeric, crushed coriander, small peeled onions and tomatoes (cut off the ends) on it.
- 2Melt the butter lightly in a clay or aluminum pot, add hot spices and cumin and grate it.
- 3Then add ginger and garlic and fry for two to three minutes and add the meat along with all the spices. Mix well, cover and cook on low heat.
- 4In a separate pan, fry the finely chopped onion in cooking oil until golden, then fry the potatoes in it on low heat.
- 5Beat curd and add fried onion, finely chopped green coriander and yolk color to it.
- 6Wash the rice and soak it for 20 minutes, then boil it in salted water and put it in a sieve.
- 7When the meat comes to the boil, fry it a little so that the tomatoes and onions are also combined and add the curd mixture and curry essence.
- 8Pour the rice on top and sprinkle the ground hot spices and add the cream and lemon juice.
- 9Close the handi tightly and keep it on the stove.
- 10Keep it on medium heat for four to five minutes, then lower the heat and keep it on the tail for ten to twelve minutes.
