Superfood is the term given to foods that, alone, concentrate large portions of protective substances, thus having high nutritional value and bringing several health benefits to those who consume them, in the midst of a regularly balanced diet.

What you don’t know is that some of these foods are even more beneficial and rich in protein than meat. To help you, we selected three of these types: quinoa, soy and chia. Each one represents a way of helping with the diet in a fundamental way.

Starting with quinoa, which brings together minerals such as calcium and phosphorus, in a bone-friendly combination. But the highlight is the protein content and high biological value. Soy, on the other hand, helps to balance cholesterol levels. There are several famous derivatives, such as the diet favorite: tofu.

Last but not least, chia has been successful for storing several nutrients, especially omega-3, a type of fat with anti-inflammatory action.
