  • Taste varies: For an extra touch of flavor, you can also sauté a clove of garlic in the butter before adding the flour. If you replace some of the vegetable broth with dry white wine, the sauce will taste particularly aromatic. You can get extra creaminess with a little cream or crème fraîche and lemon brings a light freshness.

  • Remove the thick stems from the dill, chop the rest finely and set aside.

  • Finely dice the shallot and fry in a pan with the butter until translucent.
