Ingredients for farmer’s pot with minced meat
The farmer’s pot is a popular classic for young and old. All ingredients such as potatoes, minced meat and peppers are cooked together in just one pot for this simple family dish. Simply practical because you only need a slightly larger pot for preparation. You need these ingredients:
- potatoes
I always use waxy potatoes for my minced meat stew. - Peppers
As colorful as possible! I use one red, one yellow and one orange pepper. - Onion & Garlic
- olive oil
- minced meat
I only use the best ground beef from a butcher I trust. - Tomato paste
- Red wine vinegar
Instead of red wine vinegar, you can also deglaze the farmer’s pot with dry red wine. - Beef broth
- chopped tomatoes
You can also easily replace the chopped tomatoes with pureed tomatoes. - Herbs & Spices
I season my stew with parsley, paprika, salt and pepper. If children eat with you, you should use mild paprika seasoning. Otherwise, you can combine sweet paprika, hot paprika and smoked paprika. A dream!
Homemade baguettes or rolls go well as a side dish with the farmer’s pot.
Make your own farmer’s pot – that’s how it works!
