The red ones meatballs liked by young and old alike. It is a classic and favorite dish in Greece that we often enjoy with fried potatoes or spaghetti. In one large pot water with a pinch or two of salt, boil the short macaroni according to the instructions on the package. After boiling, strain the pasta, add the olive oil, mix and set aside.Execution for the meatballs
In one basin add the mixed minced meat, the onion which we have passed through the grinder, the melted garlic, the olive oil, the salt, the pepper, the chopped parsley, the mint, the grated tomato, the vinegar and the well-soaked and squeezed with the bread hands. Also add the egg and cumin and knead until the ingredients are homogenized. Grate the tomatoes and set them aside. In a little while hot olive oil, saute the chopped onion and melted garlic until shiny. Then add the diced pepper and saute a little longer. Add the grated tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon and allspice. Add water and as soon as the sauce starts to thicken, add the meatballs. We boil until it all binds together and serve.
